Conti opens Berlin public affairs office
Harry Rogasch is reporting to Berlin as head of Continental’s new Liaison Office for Public Affairs. The office opens for business in the new year and Rogasch’s responsibilities will include representing the legislative and regulatory interests of the company's Rubber and Automotive Groups and engaging in dialogue with political, administrative, and regulatory institutions in the German capital.
“With our new office, we will steadily intensify and enrich our increasing dialogue between Continental and Berlin’s governmental and non-governmental institutions,” said Dr. Elmar Degenhart, chairman of Continental’s Executive Board. “We are convinced that we can make substantial contributions to the public discussion of all topics across mobility and transportation thanks to our wide-ranging systems expertise and innovation know-how.”
With the same goals in mind, Continental opened a liaison office in Brussels only four months ago, in order to promote dialogue with the European Union. This is in addition to the company’s recently opened Washington DC office, which aims to contribute to political dialogue in the American capital.
Harry Rogasch is described by Continental as “a proven expert with a comprehensive background in governmental and political relations.” Before joining Continental he was employed by Bosch GmbH, first in sales and then as the head of the company’s department of External Affairs, Governmental and Political Relations. Most recently, he worked at Bosch-Rexroth in Laatzen, Germany as vice-president of marketing, responsible for representing the interests of all the company’s sites in the state of Lower Saxony.
“We are pleased to welcome Harry Rogasch to our team,” stated Dr. Felix Gress, senior vice-president of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Continental in Hanover. “We will benefit from his broad knowledge and his experience with the political and regulatory processes in Berlin. His representation is just element of a comprehensive public affairs strategy that we have been pursuing for some time with the goal of strengthening the bridges between politics and business.”
The new office’s address in Berlin is: Harry Rogasch, Continental AG, Pariser Platz 4a, 10117 Berlin, Germany. Phone: +49 511 938-1329.
