Sixth Reifen China to open next Wednesday in Shanghai
The sixth edition of Reifen China will open next week, taking place at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center on 14-16 November. The trade fair for the Asian tyre market is run by Messe Essen and the China United Rubber Corporation, and the organisers predict that 2012 will see further growth on previous years. On an area of 12,000sqm, around 130 exhibitors from 14 countries will present their ranges of tyre, wheel and garage products, with more than 10,000 trade visitors expected to attend. Sponsoring the event is Germany’s Federal Association of the Tyre and Vulcaniser Trades (Bundesverband Reifenhandel und Vulkaniseur-Handwerk, or BRV).
At the exhibition, leading Asian tyre manufacturers such as Double Coin, Shandong Linglong, Cooper Chengshan, Triangle Tyre, South China Tire & Rubber, GuiZhou Tyre, Aeolus Tyre, Shengtai and Guangzhou Pearl River Rubber Tyre will show their newest developments. Reifen China will also host companies from Europe, such as Benelux wholesalers Deldo and Interstate. The organiser says the internationality of the event increases its significance as a communication platform; both paving the way for “economic protagonists into new sales markets” and consolidating the position of Europe’s – if not the world’s – largest tyre fair, Reifen in Essen, at the global level.
Messe Essen also notes the representation of companies from Eastern Europe in this edition of Reifen China. Poland will be represented for the first time this year, with Profil exhibiting its retreaded products.
In addition to Reifen China, Rubber Tech China, the trade fair for rubber processing and rubber manufactures, will run in parallel. Around 430 exhibitors will show their available ranges. The China Forum, which will provide an outlook of the latest developments of the market, will be staged within the framework of Rubber Tech China and Reifen China. It will include expert lectures with speakers from companies such as Siemens, Michelin, Lanxess, VMI, Cabot, Bekaert, Sinorgchem and Lord focusing on legal foundations, new material developments and the sector’s achievements with regard to energy efficiency, Messe Essen states.
