Latest Pirelli Key Point conference a success, says tyre maker
Pirelli UK Tyres shares that the Pirelli Key Point conference it held earlier this month was well received, with more than 25 customers attending a two-day event that culminated in a visit to the Bentley Motors factory in Crewe. Pirelli Key Point is an industry accreditation scheme that puts independent tyre dealerships through a stringent auditing process in order to gain accreditation and take advantage of a number of business benefits. Pirelli UK renamed its former Driver retail scheme to Pirelli Key Point in January in order to bring it in line with Pirelli European retail strategy.
The meeting, held at Crewe Hall hotel in Cheshire, marked the first conference following the scheme’s change of name. A number of presentations were held throughout the day including an insight into the new e-Learning system for tyre and Pirelli product knowledge development. There was also some Pirelli product training including information about the new-for-2012 Cinturato P7 Blue. Other presentations included an update on marketing initiatives and the customers were given the opportunity to share and discuss ideas openly with other Key Point members.
The following day, customers visited Bentley Motors factory in Crewe where they were given an exclusive insight into the precision engineering and production of the vehicles that are equipped with Pirelli tyres.
“The feedback from the Key Point customers about the conference was very positive,” commented Catherine Kirk, trade and consumer marketing manager at Pirelli UK. “We set extremely high standards for our retailers in order for us to recommend their services and we hope to further develop Key Point networking during 2013 and beyond. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Bentley Motors for their interesting tour around their impressive facility in Crewe. The engineering that goes into the cars is nothing short of amazing and Pirelli UK is delighted to supply such a prestigious marque.”
