1,000th Vianor sales outlet in Germany opens
The Vianor tyre retail and car service chain opened its 1,000th sales outlet in Germany. The new outlet is situated in Friedrichshafenin southern Germany. Vianor is owned by Finnish manufacturer Nokian Tyres and currently operates in 24 countries. In addition to tyre services, the sales outlets also provide comprehensive car maintenance services.
Friedrichshafen, located near the Austrian and Swiss borders, is home to the varying and demanding weather conditions with snowy winters of Central Europe. It provides ideal conditions for selling winter tyres.
“Expanding the Vianor chain is an essential part of the growth strategy for Nokian Tyres. In addition to a strong position in the Nordic market, Vianor is by far the largest tyre retail chain in the rapidly growing tyre markets of Russia and Ukraine,” explains Kim Gran, President and CEO of the Nokian Tyres group.
“According to our strategy, we have also accelerated the growth of the Vianor chain in the important Central European markets, where we are looking forward to rapidly increasing demand for our products that operate reliably under all conditions, and for the continuously developing Vianor concept.
“Our excellent test successes have for their part increased public interest towards Nokian Tyres’ products in Central Europe,” says Gran. “Therefore, it is only natural to celebrate the opening of the 1,000th Vianor outlet in Germany, the largest winter tyre market in the world.”
