Sailun Tyres Europe team grows
Sailun Tyres has announced details of a string of new appointments to its European sales team. The first was the appointment of Martin Lumb as new business development manager, Europe & Middle East. Lumb joins the Sailun team from 1 November 2012 having previously worked for Infinity and Goodyear.
Based in Vienna, Austria, Lumb will be looking after the development and growth of the Sailun tyre product portfolio with specific geographical responsibility for Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
Lumb will report to Martin West, managing director, Sailun Tyres EMEA, who commented: “Martin’s background, experience and networking ability in the tyre industry is a natural and complementary fit to the resourcing needs related to our expansion plans within the EMEA region. Martin is a major additional asset to the Sailun team and we look forward to him joining us.“
Lumb added: “The tyre industry is in my blood – I am delighted to be back in the business and I look forward to this exciting opportunity in the development of the Sailun brand – I am very keen to resurrect some old relationships and to develop some new ones!“
New business development coordinators
Shortly after the first announcement of the appointment of Martin Lumb Sailun Tyres announced two further additions to their Birmingham-based head office team. Starting immediately as business development coordinators are Anissa Zaknoune and Paul Hicks. Previously at Avon Cosmetics, French-born Anissa Zaknoune is holds a Masters degree in international business from Coventry Business School and is fluent in four languages. Paul Hicks is qualified with a HND in Graphic Design and more recently has picked up some automotive experience working for Volvo Financial Services.
Martin West issued the following statement: “Our sustained growth in Western Europe, coupled with additional geographical responsibility for Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa – and the appointment of Martin Lumb – has meant that additional enhanced resource is required in the head office.
“Our capability to handle extra and more complex distributor orders has to be second-to-none. We need to deliver customer satisfaction to our network – we need to deliver tyres! We welcome both Anissa and Paul to the team, and wish them every success with their respective Sailun futures.“
