Michelin North America reports that tyre manufacture on it Lexington passenger and light truck plant’s expanded production line began on 12 October, marking a key milestone in the completion of a US$200 million investment. Once fully implemented, this investment will add 270 workers to the Lexington plant.
“This investment allows us to meet increasing market demands for Michelin tyres,” said Peter Sutton, Lexington site manager for Michelin North America. “We are very proud to have begun production, in just over 18 months since the announcement of this project. It is another example that we have the best people in the tyre industry.”
