NTDA dinner raises over £10,000 for BEN
Members and guests at the 83rd annual NTDA dinner raised more than £10,000 for BEN, the dedicated charity for the automotive industry. £6,600 was raised in two charity auctions conducted by the guest speaker and former England rugby union international, Martin Bayfield. The first auction piece was an all-expenses paid trip for two to Dubai donated by the Al Dobowi Group, which raised £6,000; the second was an electric Mercedes XL children’s car sponsored by Mercedes Benz Finance. Donations made in envelopes by members and guests took the total into five figures.
The trip to Dubai includes staying at a beach front five star hotel, a trip to the top of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, a desert safari, and a dhow dinner cruise. Before the auction, Jorge Crespo, European general manager for Infinity Tyres, commented: “We are delighted to keep supporting BEN as part of our social responsibility to the industry. We are very conscious of the great community work and benefits that BEN is delivering to the automotive industry.”
