Infinity exhibits drifting involvement with AMD
Infinity Tyres used the occasion of Brityrex 2012 to meet with industry figures from the UK and beyond, and to discuss current business topics with many UK dealers. Its stand displayed, for the first time in the UK, the new Infinity Ecosis and Ecomax tyre ranges which will be available to purchase in the final months of 2012. The brand also made its presence felt at the entrance to the exhibition, where the Infinity-sponsored Acorn Motorsport 2013 season drift race car was on display.
AMD’s custom-made vehicle, now equipped with a new and more powerful 550HP engine, will aim to follow up a successful performance at the 2012 British Drift Championship, in which the team finished second and third in their respective classes. Scott Brandon, AMD Team principle, and team driver Ian Waddington were both present at Brityrex, speaking to visitors about the newly designed car and the performance of Infinity tyres in competitive conditions.
Clive Mansfield, Sales and Marketing manager for Infinity Tyres, commented: “Both Scott and Ian are enthusiastic ambassadors for the sport and their participation at Brityrex is bound to convert a lot more people to the skills of drift competition.”
Away from EventCity, Infinity Tyres was pleased to support BEN’s charity auction at the 2012 NTDA Annual Dinner, where an all-expenses paid VIP trip for two to Dubai raised £6,000 in aid of the automotive charity. Jorge Crespo, European general manager for Infinity Tyres, commented: “All of us at Infinity Tyres and the Al Dobowi Group are committed to developing our support for BEN as part of our wider social responsibility. We are pleased to play a part in helping to communicate the great work and benefits that BEN is delivering to the tyre and automotive industry”.
