Ford’s most powerful mustang riding on Goodyear Eagle
Ford has once again chosen Goodyear’s Eagle SuperCar G:2 as original equipment on its most powerful Mustang, the Shelby GT500. The 2013 Shelby, which is now available in North America, is fitted with the Goodyear tyre in size P265/40ZR19 on the front axle and P285/35ZR20 on the rear.
According to Ford, the 2013 Shelby GT500 features the most powerful production V8 in the world – a 5.8-litre supercharged aluminium-block engine capable of producing 662 horsepower, 631 lb.-ft of torque and a top speed of more than 200 mph. “With every Eagle high performance tyre, Goodyear strives to stretch the boundaries of performance and innovation,” said Garth Ely, Goodyear’s director of brand marketing. “So it’s a great feeling of validation when an expert like Ford chooses to equip its flagship high-performance model with Goodyear Eagles.”
