Falken Drift Team set world record
Falken Drift Team driver Lars Verbraeken has set a new Guinness World Record as the fastest drifter, driving his Falken-shod 503ps BMW E30 at a speed of 111.59 mph, whilst keeping the car at a 45º angle for a distance of over 50 metres.
Verbraeken said that he was “delighted” to hold the record as fastest drifter and he praised the tyres’ contribution, saying: “Falken’s high performance tyres helped me achieve total control of my BMW on the track.”
There was more success for Falken at the recent round of the British Drifting Championship, held at Knockhill, Scotland on 30th September, where Remmo Niezen from Falken’s European team made a guest appearance in the championship and ended up winning the headlining Super Pro Class.
