Continental South Africa appoints new head of sales

Continental Tyre South Africa (CTSA) has named Shaun Uys as general manager, sales. The move took effect on 1 October 2012 succeeding Eddie Jordaan who left the company in August.

Uys joined the company in 2001 as a product manager in the mixing department before moving to product manager passenger and light commercial tyres (PLT) building and curing. He then moved to international sales as the sales manager for Sub Saharan Africa prior to two consecutive international assignments, the first in Europe where he was head of pricing for truck tyres and thereafter in North America as sales director, truck for the NAFTA region.
