Bandvulc adds to fleet support and sales teams
Paul Searle has recently moved into Bandvulc’s sales team to take on the role of account manager. Paul joined Bandvulc in 2003, firstly in Bandvulc Tyre Contracts (BTC) and then the company’s sales operations team. According to the company he has supported the sales team for the past seven years and will continue to work on some of the current projects such as dealing with tenders, quotes and business proposals, but will also play a bigger role within the sales activities.
To assist with the transition, he attended external training courses with Hemsley Fraser at their facility on Grosvenor Place, London. Searle commented: “We have a complex business model in that Bandvulc sell product to service providers (customers) who then fit the tyres and invoice work back to BTC (turning them into suppliers). We consider all of our BTC accounts as key accounts because they are a key supply channel for Bandvulc Tyres”.
During his time within the sales operations team Searle has established close working relationships with customers and the course reiterated the importance this plays in providing customer service and satisfaction. Now as an account manager he looks forward to enhancing these further and continued development within his new role.
Paul Searle is married with two children; a 4 year old boy and a baby daughter. He is fluent in French and has somehow managed to spend the last year studying Spanish at evening class too!
Fleet support team grows
In August Dan Fields joined Bandvulc’s sales fleet support team. Field, who is 20 and lives in Chesterfield will be supporting the existing team (Chris Townend, Fred Lowry and Cliff Webb) by working in the Northern regions of the UK and carrying out fleet inspections to customer fleets.
Bandvulc reports that Fields has spent a number of weeks undergoing training on all aspects of the business, with a great deal of focus on fleet inspections, casing inspection and damage recognition. His training also incorporates spending time with Bandvulc’s casing inspection team in the warehouse, as well as with Chris, Cliff and Fred at customers’ sites carrying out inspections and learning the ropes. He will also spend some time at the Tyre Maintenance depots to understand the tyre fitting and husbandry side of the business.
“Many congratulations to both Paul and Dan in their new roles. They represent the next generation of sales and fleet support and will help Bandvulc to progress ever forward in providing and enhancing its services to all clients”, Phil West, commercial director said commenting on the latest appointments.
