Van den Ban “wider than wide” winter tyre stock for expected “normal demand”
Wholesaler Van den Ban says that its selection of winter products is “wider than wide” this winter, and the company is expecting to cope well with “normal demand”. In recent winters VDB has experienced “very early” seasonal demand for winter tyres, but with a somewhat milder winter last year, the company is confident that this early rush will be evened out into “normal demand” this year, “commencing later than previous years”.
“This means that our wide stock position and accurate logistic service become even more important for our clients,” says Kees Nieuwland from the sales department UK with VDB. “Speedy deliveries and good availability are our key words for the upcoming winter season.”
VDB says it keeps stock of approximately 1,000,000 winter- and all-season tyres; a figure it says allows it to answer the “increasingly complex demand” from the market. The wholesaler says it is “able to deliver amongst others ultra high performance (up to 20 inches) and run-flat winter tyres.” Furthermore, the wholesaler has augmented its range of premium brand products with “a complete line of budget winter tyres”.
VDB’s private labels, Blackstone and Novex, as well as exclusive brand, Sava are available in winter fitments. The company has expanded its Blackstone Alaska gamma size range this year, while the Novex winter fitment, the Snow Speed, has “a complete assortment in passenger car” and the Snow Speed LT for light trucks. The company says the budget Hifly brand has “grown into a mature brand”, including a range of winter tyres.
All-season tyres, which VDB says are “becoming more popular in the Western European climate”, are represented by 25 sizes available in private label Novex brand – the tyre includes the M&S sign and the three peak mountain symbol – in addition to a large number of all-season premium brand tyres.
VDB delivers a large part of international deliveries with its own transport company, which operates out of its modern warehouse. In addition, VDB offers a parcel delivery service, which allows small quantities to be delivered to the UK in between 48 and 72 hours.
