Trelleborg tyres to challenge ‘World’s Strongest Man’
Manufacturers wanting to promote their high performance tyres gravitate towards motorsport sponsorship, but where do you turn to highlight the strength and durability of your tyres? Trelleborg may have found the answer; the Swedish tyre maker has announced its support of the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ contest, which will be held in Los Angeles, US from 24 September to 1 October.
“Trelleborg tyres are usually the things demonstrating their strength while carrying high loads in fields and on road,” reflected Jeff Jankowski, sales director Agricultural & Forestry Tires, Trelleborg Wheel Systems US. “But as one of the challenges in the World’s Strongest Man competition, the tables are turned. It is the competitors showing their strength when lifting Trelleborg tyres. In order to meet the demands of our end users for higher farming productivity, all our products are continuously undergoing a significant number of challenging tests, just like the World’s Strongest Man athletes.”
The World’s Strongest Man competition was first held in 1977, and this year it returns to the city where it started. The event will be held on the grounds of the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, California.
