Kama NU-301 range launched
A new commercial tyre from Russian tyre brand Kama has been introduced. The NU-301 range, produced in the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory, has been launched in size 275/70 R22.5, an all-position fitment primarily intended for use on buses in urban service.
The retreadable tyres feature a solid tyre area, reports the manufacturer’s parent company Tatneft, a feature that increases traction particularly in winter conditions. Reinforced casing sidewalls are intended to offer improved protection against curbing and cuts plus added stability on dry road surfaces and wet asphalt. Three longitudinal ribs with lugs are said to provide stability while driving in all weather conditions, while four deep grooves between these are intended to reduce the risk of aquaplaning. The sidewall features a wear indicator plus a specific ‘snowflake’ indicator that notifies the operator when the tyre is no longer suitable for winter service.
