Triangle talks investment during visit to Russia
Triangle Tyre reports that between 24 July and 1 August an eleven-person company delegation, led by Triangle president and chairman Ding Yuhua, visited several regions of Russia on a fact-finding mission. Topics of focus during the visit were issues regarding investment and related policy, Russia’s tyre market and vehicle manufacturers. Triangle says the group was warmly welcomed by government departments and officials.
During a meeting in the Republic of Bashkortostan on 25 July, state president Rustem Khamitov welcomed Ding to invest in the republic and said it would provide Triangle with favourable investment conditions. The following day the delegation met with local officials in Nizhny Novgorod and toured a vehicle production plant. On 30 July they were hosted by Cordiant CEO Dmitry Sokov at the Russian tyre maker’s factory in Yaroslavl, and the next day the group travelled on to Kaluga Oblast, a region already home to several tyre makers. The Triangle delegation’s purpose for visiting was to determine investment conditions at the region’s industrial park. Government officials, including regional governor Anatoly Dmitriyevich Artamonov, welcomed Triangle to invest in Kaluga and expressed a wish for close cooperation.
