Pirelli celebrates decade in North American headquarters
Pirelli Tire North America has celebrated its 10th anniversary as a resident of Rome, Georgia, and although some of the company’s business operations have moved to New York in recent years, the facility still serves as the company’s manufacturing base, one of five global R&D centres and as headquarters for Pirelli’s NAFTA Region.
“The operation we have here in Rome is a key part of our premium and original equipment strategy looking forward as it provides us the flexibility to be responsive to customer needs and produce short runs with high quality and uniformity,” said chairman and CEO Paolo Ferrari. “We’ve done great things here in Rome and I look forward to continuing that tradition.”
PTNA commemorated its ten-year anniversary by becoming a partner in the Rome Area History Museum and inaugurating an exhibit that includes the first tyre produced at the Rome plant. The tyre maker said it “plans to maintain an active presence in the community in initiatives that are closely tied to education and environmental awareness as delineated by its corporate social responsibility charter.” tire review
