Goodyear Dunlop to launch coach-specific tyres at IAA
Amongst the numerous new releases to be unveiled at next month’s IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany will be Goodyear Dunlop’s first dedicated coach tyres. The Goodyear Marathon Coach all-position tyre and Goodyear Ultra Grip Coach winter drive tyre will be on display between 20 and 27 September, and Goodyear Dunlop says it will reveal information at the show “underlining the outstanding wear characteristics and comfort features that coach fleet operators have reported during extended customer testing.”
To cater to truck operators, in particular fleet managers, the Goodyear Dunlop stand will also feature the Goodyear ‘Dream Team’, comprising the Marathon LHS II+ steer tyre, LHD II+ drive tyre and LHT II trailer tyre. “Thanks to the new EU tyre label grades, buyers can now see the clear benefits these tyres offer in terms of fuel economy, wet grip and exterior noise,” comments the tyre maker. Goodyear TreadMax and Dunlop MultiTread retread products will also be displayed.
In addition, Goodyear Dunlop will unveil a truck built from LEGO bricks, which will play a key role in a charity project to support the European truck driver initiative, DocStop for Europeans e.V. DocStop offers medical assistance to truck drivers on the road. The aim is to make sure that every truck driver in Europe has easy access to a doctor if needed – just like at home. The charity project and other world premieres will be presented at a press conference on the Goodyear Dunlop stand at 1.15 pm on Wednesday 19 September 19.
Last but not least, Goodyear Dunlop will hold a daily raffle during the IAA. Each day visitors have the chance to win either the largest LEGO Technic model in history, the LEGO Technic Unimog U400 – with 2,048 components, or a LEGO Technic Logging Truck.
