Conti claims best in class performance from PureContact

Continental boasts that its latest North American replacement market tyre, the PureContact, brings together “best-in-class wet braking, fuel efficiency and ride comfort.” The all-season tyre is available to North American consumers in a number of 15 to 18-inch rim diameters, a UTQG rating of 700 AA, and H and V speed ratings.

“The PureContact brings together our innovative technologies into one luxury all-season tyre” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for Continental Tire the Americas. “We’ve married our EcoPlus Technology, Comfort Ride Technology and Tuned Performance Indicators for a replacement tyre that will help our customers arrive to their destinations safely while also helping to save money and be kind to the environment.”

Explaining how it produced a tyre that cuts operating costs in both a green and comfortable fashion, Continental shares that the PureContact uses its EcoPlus technology. This is said to improve treadwear while enhancing grip on wet roads and improving fuel efficiency. The tyre maker has also included its Tuned Performance Indicators, which indicate optimal performance levels for dry, wet and snow conditions. A third proprietary technology used in the PureContact is Continental’s Comfort Ride Technology, which is said to absorb vibrations caused by road surface irregularities, giving drivers and their passengers a “smooth and enjoyable ride.”
