'Boot 4 BEN' – part two
Automotive industry charity BEN, in conjunction with the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust is hosting the second of two annual car boot sales on Sunday 23 September 2012 at Heritage Motor Centre, Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire.
The 'Boot 4 BEN' will not only have the usual car boot stalls but also will be joined by Auto-Jumble stalls that sell specialist automotive parts and spares, along with automotive collectables.
The car-booting can then be rounded off with the autumn cream tea run, a scenic drive hosted by the Heritage Motor Centre of the surrounding area (55 miles), taking in the sights of the Warwickshire countryside, culminating in a cream tea served at the ‘Junction 12’ café.
The events are organised by a number of dedicated BEN volunteers. Gary Stokes, a BEN Champion volunteer at Jaguar Land Rover commented, “The Boot 4 BEN events have improved greatly over the last few years with our decision to link them to the ‘Cream Tea Run’ & ‘Classic Car Rallies’ that were already great attractions at the Heritage Centre. We have seen a really good boost to the numbers of attendees who’re looking for a bargain.
“The Heritage Museum is a great venue for Boot 4 BEN, with the automotive connection and a great all-weather surface. There’s always loads of space, so anyone who hasn’t pre-booked a pitch (for a pitch fee discount) can turn up on the day and is still guaranteed to get in.
“Anyone wanting more information can contact me directly at BEN@jaguarlandrover.com, as well as via the ‘BEN’ or ‘Heritage Motor Centre’ websites. Look forward to seeing you there.”
