Nexen opens Columbia branch
Nexen Tire has opened a sales branch in Bogota, Colombia. It is the second branch in South & Central America after the first one in Brazil. According to Nexen, Columbia is the third biggest market in South America after Brazil and Argentina. It has a reported demand of around 4 million units a year. With its booming economy, the tyre market in the country is also expected to grow.
Nexen’s Bogota branch was opened in January 2012. Its primary goal is to grow in the residing Colombian market but the ultimate goal is to expand sales in Venezuela, Ecuador and other countries in South America and the Caribbean area.
The branch will be run by branch manager Jason Yoo and sales assistants Maria Elena and Julio Cesar. More salespeople will be hired in the second half of 2012.
