GiTi Tire holds 2012 Dealer Conference at Reifen 2012
Immediately preceding the Reifen 2012 show at which its GT Radial brand had an impressive Hall Three stand, GiTi Tire held its Dealer Conference at which future growth plans were discussed for the GiTi Group’s full portfolio of products. Managing director Europe, Richard Lyons said that its European operation will continue to grow profitability in 2012 and 2013 by gaining volume share in mature markets and achieving breakthroughs in emerging countries. Speaking at the GiTi Dealer Conference at Reifen 2012, Lyons stated that these goals would be achieved in unprecedented economic times by the continued introduction of high quality products with premium performance, a first-class level of service and an improved value-proposition.
The GiTi Group, which has a portfolio of products including GT Radial, Primewell, Runway and Dextero, saw worldwide revenue grow to in excess of US$4 billion in 2011.
Lyons’ statements were supported by senior management including Corrado Moglia, marketing director Europe – Consumer Tires, who focused on newly launched GT Radial products including the Champiro UHP1 asymmetric ultra high performance tyre, the Champiro VP1 versatile comfort tyre and the Champiro Winterpro HP as tyres that offer premium performance for outstanding value.
Peter Foulkes, marketing director Europe – Commercial Tires, also outlined a series of new and innovative products including the first retread tyre, the GT Radial GT Ree Tread, plus the advanced testing and evaluation programme, which currently has over 1,000 R&D tyres on field test across Europe.
The European Tyre Labelling Regulation and its implications were outlined by the company’s technical director Europe, Lennart Lindstrom. Further keynote speakers included Dr Enki Tan, executive chairman for GiTi Tire who focused on the importance of solid and transparent partnerships with our customers across the globe and Hervé Richert, executive director of Sales & Marketing (International) for GiTi Tire who outlined the current state of international markets.
In all 120 people attended the conference including representatives from all 27 European countries including Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom plus GiTi teams from China, Indonesia and Singapore.
Post-event Lyons said: “This is the largest, most comprehensive Dealer Conference ever held by GiTi Tire, and the response from our customers has been wholly positive. By communicating in a transparent manner we build close partnerships that allows us to quickly react to changing market conditions throughout Europe.
“And of course everyone responds with great enthusiasm when we state our continuing commitment to investing significantly in product development to bring new and exciting tyres to market. Every month our passenger car, SUV, van, light truck, heavy truck and bus tyre portfolios are improving.
“Reifen itself has been a great success, and a significant investment in the GT Radial stand resulted in record foot traffic and leads. Rest assured we will use the show as a springboard to achieve our revenue and volume goals for both 2012 and 2013.”
In relation to the stand, Paul Fox, CEO of Micheldever, said: “I truly believe it was the best stand at the show. It was open and welcoming, stood out from everything around, made great use of the screen based information stands and most importantly featured smartly turned out, welcoming staff.”
