Vortex exhausts sign up for Brityrex International
The makers of a patented exhaust system that aims to ‘revolutionise’ aftermarket sales is among the latest exhibitors to sign-up for October’s Brityrex International show in Manchester.
Vortex Exhaust Technology says that its products offer remarkable fuel savings, along with improved engine performance, thanks to the patented internal designs of the Vortex exhaust. This creates a turbine effect inside the silencer, causing a vacuum which literally sucks gases out of the engine, allowing it to breathe more easily, and burn fuel more efficiently. The system is currently being evaluated by an independent accreditation authority.
Barry Mead, managing director of the Grays, Essex-based company, explains: “It’s a completely different approach to the market which began life in performance motor sport but which has now crossed over into the mainstream aftermarket because of its fuel saving potential. The system could revolutionise the market and help exhaust centres and fast fits reclaim some of the share they’ve lost in recent years.”
Vortex says that based on 12,000 miles annual mileage its systems have produced fuels savings of around 10 per cent with emission reductions of up to 33 per cent on a range of vehicles including popular fleet cars, vans and 4x4s.
According to the company, Vortex will be exhibiting at Brityrex to promote the technology and sign up dealers. Brityrex International will bring together dedicated tyre and equipment trade exhibitors from Tuesday 9 October through to Thursday 11 October 2012.
