Trelleborg launches interactive stand at Cereals 2012
Leading tyre and wheel supplier to the global agricultural industry, Trelleborg Wheel Systems showcased its extensive range of high performance tyres at Cereals 2012, held in Lincolnshire, England, on 13-14 June. Located on stand 602, sector E, the company exhibited its latest innovations for the agricultural industry as part of a new stand design and concept, the ‘Blue Box’.
“Our innovative ‘Blue Box’ is an interactive, mobile stand which has been designed to bring the latest Trelleborg innovations and digital services to all the major outdoor exhibitions in Europe, as well as major international events.” says Lorenzo Ciferri, marketing director Agricultural & Forestry Tires, Trelleborg Wheel Systems.
“We wanted to enhance the traditional exhibition experience and take it to a whole a new level. As such, the ‘Blue Box’ [is] equipped with the latest state-of-the-art communication devices, giving farming professionals the chance to interact with industry-leading tyre and complete wheel solutions under one roof, than ever before.”
Trelleborg’s new IF 710/75R42 TM1000 High Power was central to the products displayed on the stand; the TM1000 High Power range is currently undergoing a significant number of indoor and outdoor tests, under the most severe conditions. “We want farmers to be able to produce more, but in a sustainable way,” says Paolo Pompei, business unit president Agricultural & Forestry Tires, Trelleborg Wheel Systems. “Our new TM1000 High Power has been engineered in line with our new Blue TyreTM technology, ensuring improved efficiency and productivity of farming operations, while fully respecting the environment.”
During field operations, the TM1000 High Power provides a traction capacity five to eight percent higher than other premium brand competitor products, as well as a five per cent wider footprint at low inflation pressure thanks to the new Blue TyreTM technology. On the road, premium rolling resistance ensures lower fuel consumption and emissions, by as much as four to six per cent compared to the market average, providing farmers with saving of up to 1,300 euros per annum, according to TWS estimates.
During 2012, the TM1000 High Power range will be further enhanced with the introduction of six new sizes, between 30” and 42”, to fit the latest breed of high powered tractors.
In addition, Trelleborg also displayed its 900/60R32 TM2000 for harvesting applications, the 600/55R26.5 Twin Radial featuring the new tread design, the 710/70R38 TM800 and the 710/70R42 TM900 High Power.
Designed to yield superior floatation characteristics on trailers and slurry tankers, the new size 600/55R26.5 Twin Radial tyre has been designed to further improve soil protection, as well as driver comfort by reducing noise levels. In addition, a long tyre life contributes significantly to reducing overall operating cost for the farmer.
Cereals 2012 is the leading technical event for the UK arable industry with over 64 hectares of stands and live demonstrations, including Crop Plots, Working Cultivations, Sprays and Sprayers, Post-Harvest Technology, Business Area, Potatoes and Renewables.
