Nexen N'Blue Eco already achieving BB rating

Nexen's N'blue Eco tyre, which entered the market last July, has reportedly gain BB on the European tyre labelling scale that becomes mandatory in November. According to the Korean manufacturer's representatives and the firm's Essen show display, the range also achieves favourable noise levels of 71 dB. With Pirelli the only manufacturer to claim to be able to produce an AA rated tyre, Nexen's score puts it amongst the highest rating products currently available in the market.

For its part Nexen Tire Corporation said it is proud of the fact that its eco-friendly tyre has received this grade. According to Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO), the tyre scored top for energy efficiency and second for wet braking – the Korean equivalent of AB, which is said to be the best grade ever achieved by an eco-friendly Korean tyre.

And what’s more the N’blue Eco is the first product in Korea to gain the best noise test grade in experiments arranged by the Automobile Department of Daeduk College in Korea, last December.
