Infinity INF 050: ecological performance
Infinity Tyres describes its INF 050 as a tyre that combines performance with a great respect for the environment. This particular tyre, which is available in up to 20 different sizes, kicks off by being completely free of aromatic oils and thus is fully compliant with REACH legislation. Furthermore, Infinity says the INF 050 benefits from its Eco-Friendly Fuel Efficient (EFFE) manufacturing process.
The INF 050 tread pattern further comments on the model’s green credentials by resembling a leaf. It is a pattern intended to give excellent road grip on both wet and dry roads, and Infinity believes it one of the most attractive tread designs on the market today. The pattern is designed to offer a high lateral skid prevention, versatile traction for responsive on and off-road driving, good drainage for superior wet road handling and resistance against aquaplaning. Infinity adds that the tyre itself has a solid carcass with low sidewalls, which give it excellent performance at high speeds – as befits this type of tyre. Its thick shoulders are said to give it an unyielding reaction on turns and very good protection against chips and scratches.
In addition, Infinity says the tyre’s chemical compounds give it excellent wear resistance, thus further increasing its ecological profile, while its construction, reinforced as it is with crossed steel & nylon belts, gives the vehicle an optimum weight distribution on the tyre’s print. Thus, it sees the INF 050 as the best choice for drivers seeking a high-performance tyre who don’t want to make any ecological compromises when purchasing a tyre. This tyre model, certified to speeds of up to 270 kilometres per hour, also comes with a lateral protection bar which Infinity says offers a very versatile traction and great response, both on and off the road.
Infinity reports it is planning on introducing a new UHP range in 2012 with asymmetrical patterns that will continue to develop the INF 050 tyre model.
