Erich Fric named new Goodyear Dunlop UK general manager
The position of managing director of Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Ltd, made vacant by George Rietbergen’s impending move to Brussels and new role as vice-president for the company’s EMEA region Commercial Product Business Unit, has been filled by Erich Fric, the tyre maker has announced. Fric, whose career with Goodyear Dunlop began in Austria in 1994, will take over from Rietbergen on 1 July.
“Following the transition from his current role as general manager for the Nordics, Erich will continue to develop the strength and performance of our business in the UK and Ireland. Ensuring continuity within the market, he will continue to focus on the strong relationships that Goodyear Dunlop has built with its key customers and stakeholders in the UK and Ireland,” said Arthur de Bok, Goodyear Dunlop’s EMEA region president.
Fric joined the company as general manager in Austria, having already built a strong career in the automotive industry. In 2009 he relocated to Sweden, where he has led the business for the Nordics cluster as general manager.
