Bosch introduces FWA 4630 wheel aligner
Tyre service products from Bosch, collectively labelled the “Around the Wheel” range, have been updated with the addition of its new FWA 4630. Bosch’s latest generation of wheel alignment equipment acknowledges the importance of time and accuracy to tyre service providers. It says the development of the latest machine was also influenced by the continuing evolution of chassis and suspension technology.
The new FWA 4630 from Bosch employs real 3D technology, which features highly accurate cameras – three times more accurate than current image aligners and an integrated reference system, according to the company This product is designed to be fast, mobile and requires only one technician to operate it.
The machine comes with optional updates to help new models to be quickly integrated into the vehicle database, which currently includes around 25,000 vehicles from more than 60 manufacturers. The user can extend it by individual vehicle specified data and regular software-updates. The interface has Windows-typical functionality and the user is able to select between a guided routine before and after adjustment, a fast measurement without caster deflection or an optional measurement for targeted testing of individual measured values. The system provides many explanatory images and drawings, which allow immediate, reliable correction of alignment errors.
The FWA 4630 offers a drive up to printout in seven minutes; fast rolling runout compensation and consistent accuracy on all four wheels simultaneously without having to push the vehicle; automatic, high precision measurements; and high reproducibility of the results guarantees reliability and competence even in the case of repetitions.
Bosch says the aligner is designed for tough daily workshop operation, with a robust and ergonomic design geared towards practical handling. It is also simple to position the light measurement boards and sensor head to save time.
