Techking ‘U’ line truck tyres make debut
Techking has announced an “upgrade” to one of its on- and off-road patterns; its ETFN 12.00R24 truck tyres have been developed into the new ETFN U, thanks to feedback from one of the company’s Middle East partners, Techking says. Features upgraded on ETFN U include: a 15 per cent thicker bead section; a 30 per cent increase in bead wire; a super-stiff design; and the company’s “MEDI” formula tread compound, which mixes cut and heat resistance.
The company says that while the original design ETFN has been working very well with normal load condition, heavier than standard load conditions led to “a few beak crack issues”, especially when the tyre is used on the rear axle of the trailer. Techking’s engineering team thus developed the ETFN U to combat this issue, and will gradually upgrade all its truck tyres to the ‘U’ line.
Techking also stated that the feedback from its partner in Oman will be rewarded through its newly launched ‘New Product Development Award’ programme.
