Point S takes on network development manager
Earlier this year Point S appointed Dean Dyoss as network development manager. The move was the first of a run investments Point S has begun making into its UK chain and its investment in people. Just over a year since John Cowderoy joined the growing independent retail chain as managing director, he began making strategic appointments designed to help the network flourish in the years to come.
The first, in January 2012, was the appointment of two business development managers, establishing a network development team. This is led by Dean Dyoss, who is familiar name at tyres and accessories owing to his work as a retail development manager at Bridgestone UK. However, his experience stretches far beyond this and he brings with him 20 years of tyre industry knowledge.
Starting out as a vehicle technician in local independent garages, Dyoss went on to work at a national level Kwik-Fit, before a series of promotions within Bridgestone UK. When you consider that Point S is a relatively new retail chain comprising of mainly small and medium sized tyre dealer members with national aspirations as a group, you can see the logic behind this appointment.
Dyoss describes himself as “fully committed to his new role” which sees him focus his time on “recruiting quality independent tyre retailers around the country and developing ways of increasing the brand awareness of Point S in the UK.”
