New UAN website launches
Automotive buying group United Aftermarket Network has launched its new website, one of its new initiatives aimed at supporting its distributors’ part-selling businesses. In order to deliver this support, UAN now allows distributors to access instantly its approved supplier agreements online, allowing real time access to supplier data. The new site, described as a complete overhaul of its predecessor, also includes a comprehensive section on its central rebate programme.
UAN says it has helped its distributors and approved OE-quality suppliers grow significantly since it was established eight years ago. It has a purchasing power of £80 million, with over 140 distributors and agreements with more than 70 approved suppliers and brands.
Andrew Dickinson, managing director, UAN, said: “The industry benchmark has been set with this new website. We have worked in close collaboration with our distributors to design a site that becomes a helpful and integral part of their business. The end result is a website that delivers some genuine tangible benefits to them. On a purely practical note it was also imperative that our distributors could view and utilise the supplier agreements which are constantly improving.”
Further improvements to the website, many of which are in the secure area, include an enhanced marketing section, where members can access supplier promotional templates. It also contains UAN’s new central marketing programme handbook, which details participating suppliers and effective ways in which a distributor can promote their business. UAN has also added a technical bulletin and news section, a thorough section about UAN, and access to the latest car care and consumables promotional leaflets and UAN’s Code of Practice.
The website can be found at www.unitedaftermarket.net.
