Linglong to exhibit expanded Green-Max range at Reifen 2012
Linglong Tyres, manufactured by China’s third largest tyre maker, the Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., will exhibit its latest tyre range –Green-Max – at the upcoming Reifen show in Essen. The manufacturer describes this tyre, designed for the UHP segment, as its ultimate summer tyre.
Green-Max gained attention in 2011 during summer tyre tests carried out at Test World Oy in Finland, a facility specialising in vehicle and tyre testing and certification. At the time, technicians said the Green-Max tyre was “a surprise, being clearly the best Chinese tyre ever in our tests. These tyres beat several familiar, more expensive brands.” The Linglong range also left a good impression on the test drivers, who stated that the range stood out “especially in aspects of driving behaviour on wet roads.”
Three distinct models make up the Green-Max line-up. The asymmetric tread UHP Green-Max range now contains 28 sizes for 16 to 20-inch rim diameters, while the high performance range offers 18 sizes ranging from 14 to 16-inches and a symmetrical tread design for improved comfort and reduced tyre noise. Finally, the Green-Max Eco Touring model offers 18 sizes from 13 to 15-inches. Linglong says this particular version offers improved stability and ride performance, combining precise cornering and excellent grip.
“We have worked closely with the R&D centre in China to develop the new Green Max range for European driving conditions,” stated Jorge Crespo, European general manager for LL Tyres, importer of Green-Max for the UK and Ireland. “Building on these strong technological advances, we are pleased that the results of the forthcoming Green Max tyre labels are appropriate for the demanding European tyre market and we welcome the opportunity to display this expanded new range at the Reifen Essen show in June.”
