Champiro UHP1 leads GT Radial Reifen 2012 launches
GT Radial‘s Champiro UHP1 aims to please the most demanding drivers with good wet and dry handling, precise cornering and strong braking characteristics across a wide variety of road conditions. The Champiro VP1, a tyre designed for comfort, control, safety and mileage is the other PCR tyre to be launched. The modern asymmetric design of the Champiro UHP1 features oversized pattern blocks on the tyre shoulder for high levels of grip under cornering while four straight grooves ensures linear stability at high speed and good performance in aquaplaning. The tyre has a high silica compound for better wet handling, while its optimised pitch variance reduces noise levels while driving. The Champiro UHP1 is introduced in 43 sizes ranging from 195/45R15 to 255/35ZR20 with speed codes from V-W.
The Champiro VP1 includes a tread compound designed for high levels of grip in both wet and dry conditions, while reducing rolling resistance. Four deep tread grooves bring outstanding water channelling and anti-hydroplaning characteristics. An optimised tread block design with integral lateral grooves and sipes delivers quick steering response in cornering and reduces road noise. The Champiro VP1 is introduced in 28 sizes ranging from 165/80R13 to 195/50R15, with speed codes ranging from T-V.
Moglia continues: “The Champiro UHP1 is a genuine challenger in the ultra high performance tyre sector and shows what we can do as a company to deliver a product that satisfies the most demanding, sporting driver. It is a tyre of which we are very proud.
