Goodyear appoints JB Tyres Irish farm and industrial tyre dealer
Goodyear has appointed JB Tyres of Tobermore to the position of exclusive farm and industrial tyre dealer for Ireland. The agreement means that JB Tyres has become one of the largest Goodyear farm tyre dealers in Europe. The manufacturer said the distributor is topping European league tables for sales in 2012.
James Barfoot of JB tyres said: “We are very pleased with our partnership with Goodyear and we are excited by the news that this partnership has helped us to increase the size of our business and grow to be one of Goodyear’s largest European farm tyre specialists. We feel that a key factor in our growth is our combination of strong technical advice with immediate availability of product and a professional fitting service.”
Commenting on the relationship, Phil Stanton, Goodyear’ Sales Director for Farm and Industrial tyres said: “JB Tyres and Goodyear have successfully worked together over many years, so I’m delighted this working partnership has led to the appointment of JB Tyres as our exclusive dealer for Ireland.
“We are very pleased with the growth we have both seen since then and we look forward to continuing our successful relationship in to the future.”
Goodyear and JB Tyres have worked closely on promotional activities including a joint display stand at the Irish Ploughing Championships in September 2011 and an evening for farmers attended by more than 100 held in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland in January 2012. The event included presentations from JB Tyres and Goodyear regarding the Agriclub, the current Goodyear farm tyre product range and future development plans.
In 2012, Goodyear will be one of the sponsors at the Irish Ploughing Match in Wexford and at the European Reversible Ploughing Championships in Drumahoe.
