Goodyear Dunlop wins BP Oil contract
After 20 years' working with Michelin, BP Oil UK Limited has switched over to Goodyear Dunlop for the service and maintenance of its fleet of 150 tankers.
In addition to Goodyear Dunlop's easily accessible, web-based systems that allow transparent and up to the minute status of all jobs, the level of service provided by the company's TruckForce UK network played an important role in winning the contract.
The national coverage of the network is vital for BP Oil, which has around 1,300 service stations across the length and breadth of the UK.
Goodyear Dunlop demonstrated to BP Oil that improved tyre husbandry leads to greater fuel efficiency and cost savings. As part of this policy, the tankers will be fitted with Goodyear Dunlop’s TreadMax premium retreaded tyres.
