Dunlop UK launches ScootSmart

Dunlop has unveiled its new scooter tyre on the UK market at the Ace Café, London. The Dunlop ScootSmart applies the brand’s global experience with the RoadSmart motorcycle tyre, bringing what the company says are unprecedented levels of technology to the small wheel class. Mark Sears, Dunlop’s motorcycle product support manager commented that the ScootSmart has benefitted from “advanced Dunlop technology, much of it adapted from high-performance motorcycle tyres”, allowing “scooter enthusiasts to ride with total confidence and manage their running costs.”

Dunlop says the tyre has been created using finite element analysis simulation techniques and high-grade silica tread compounds for performance that blends grip, handling and mileage attributes.

During its launch, the Ace Café hosted a series of product presentations and hands-on workshops designed to highlight the performance and handling capabilities of the highly anticipated scooter tyre. Pro-stunt rider Craig Jones offered a “Ride with Confidence” masterclass, giving guests advice on riding technique and tips for staying in control of a bike.

“The Ace Café provided the perfect setting for our launch and the feedback that we had from our customers tells us that a good time was to be had by all that attended,” Sears concluded.
