BEN announces Summer Fete details
Automotive industry charity, BEN has announced details of its Summer Fete activities at its Birch Hill and Lynwood Care Centres. On 30 June 2012, more than 200 vintage and classic vehicles will start a 20 mile Rally Tour from Ascot Racecourse travelling via Windsor Great Park on their way to Lynwood Care Centre, where they will be on display from 12:30. Meanwhile on Sunday, 1 July 2012 Birch Hill’s Summer Fete will take place between 14:00 and 16:00 within the grounds of the Care Centre in Norham.
Every year Lynwood Care Centre in Sunninghill, owned and operated by BEN, plays host to this long-established event which is organised by a team of Fete Committee volunteers in support of the centre.
Lynwood, set in 20 acres of rolling grounds, promises to offer something for everyone in addition to keen vehicle enthusiasts; the venue will host music by the Soundblast Sinfonia Street Band, a birds of prey flying display, miniature steam train rides, the opportunity to stroll amongst the vast array of stalls and visit the Children’s corner.
Ray Diggins, BEN’s head of Marketing said: “This year we are looking forward to a record number of visitors attending BEN’s biggest summer event of the year. We are hoping this will get people in the party spirit and have an enjoyable day out.”
Every year Birch Hill plays host to its long-established summer event, organised by its fundraising team in support of the centre. Birch Hill is set in beautiful grounds above the River Tweed. Nicola Hall, BEN’s Birch Hill Manager said: “This year we are looking forward to everyone joining us for a perfect summer’s day out in Norham, where there will be something for all age groups.
