Vredestein showcasing Ultrac Vorti on electric supercar
Just weeks after unveiling the Ultrac Vorti to the international press and specialist traders, Dutch tyre manufacturer Vredestein will present its new high performance tyre to visitors at Top Marques Monaco. During the show, which takes place between 19 and 22 April, the Ultrac Vorti will be showcased on the Concept_One electric supercar developed by Rimac Automobili.
The Ultrac Vorti is the latest addition to the Premium Styling by Vredestein concept, a concept that the tyre maker says is all about high performance tyres for exclusive cars and draws on the advice and creations of premium auto stylers and exclusive, innovative car manufacturers. The new, Y-rated tyre was designed by Italian designer Giugiaro and has been developed with the most advanced and sportiest high performance cars in mind. The Ultrac Vorti thus features an adapted profile and specially-tailored design for rear axle-only sizes. As the front tyres dissipate the majority of water when the road surface is wet, the focus for the rear tyres was on increased grip and stability, thereby reducing the air ratio, while the adapted belt angle allows the driver to feel that the tyre has a highly controllable level of grip. This, says Vredestein, makes the tyre extra safe and ensures its handling is reliable.
The Ultrac Vorti is on display on the Concept_One during Top Marques Monaco in sizes 245/35 R 20 (front) and 295/30 R 20 (rear). This electric car developed by Rimac Automobili features a drive system called All Wheel Torque Vectoring, where each wheel is driven separately. The Concept_One can go from 0 to 100km/h in 2.8 seconds. Its maximum speed is 305km/h and it can travel up to 600 kilometres on one battery charge. It is a limited-edition vehicle, with only 88 models being produced.
