TRIB reminds members of their financial obligation
Bob Majewski, president of the US-based Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau, has reminded all member retreaders of the costs involved in TRIB’s day-to-day operation, and appealed for annual membership dues to be paid – before errant members find themselves out of the loop.
In an e-mail sent to all TRIB members, Majewski commented “over the last several weeks, I have been calling around talking to many retreaders, vendors, and tyre dealers…while doing this, I realised how many retreaders do not financially support TRIB. I have been in this industry for more than 47 years and cannot believe people in these companies do not see the benefits of this association that defends our industry. TRIB is inexpensive to join, with most members paying only $350 in annual dues.
“I believe most companies treat this as an expense to the plant but should also consider it a sales tool for the sales department,” Majewski continued. “Today, many of your employees do not see or hear about the benefits TRIB provides because they do not have access to the website or are not included on our email distribution lists.”
Majewski warned TRIB members that have yet to pay their 2012 dues that “we will have a deadline of May 31 and anyone not having paid by this time will no longer receive emails, casing/supplier memos or any other industry information.”
