Pro-Align’s QuickCheck provides quick alignment diagnostics
Wheel alignment equipment distributor, Pro-Align has launched a new complementary alignment diagnostic system. QuickCheck provides a rapid six point preliminary alignment reading, helping workshops to pre-filter potentially misaligned vehicles in less than a minute, according to Pro-Align. The company says the diagnostic system will allow workshops to improve the efficiency and returns of their existing equipment.
“The new system is the perfect addition to workshops equipped with slower alignment equipment or those Hunter-equipped centres that already experience a high throughput,” explains Paul Beaurain, managing director, Pro-Align.
“While there is no substitute for a full 14 angle measurement with rolling compensation, the new service allows workshops to quickly identify those vehicles that are most likely to be in need of a proper check and subsequent geometry adjustments. By using QuickCheck they can ensure their main system is used exclusively for revenue generating work.”
Speculative alignment checks have long been a focus for equipment manufacturer, Hunter; its UK distributor told Tyrepress.com that its most recent full alignment system, the Hunter HawkEye Elite TD is capable of performing a full alignment check, including rolling compensation, in 90 seconds. However, the addition of QuickCheck to the company’s range will allow workshops to improve their efficiency and equipment utilisation.
QuickCheck measures only some of the key alignment angles and it is not necessary to be installed alongside a dedicated alignment ramp. The system can be supplied either as a fixed drive-through unit or as a multi-bay mobile system that can be moved between workshop areas.
Beaurain also said QuickCheck would allow workshops to measure the alignment settings on every vehicle. “Not only will this identify significantly more work opportunities, but for those customers cars not requiring any further work, a printout confirming the measurements read ‘OK’ will provide another level of customer care and service.”
