Maxxis offers website competitions with Liverpool FC
Tyre manufacturer, Maxxis has announced three exclusive competitions in conjunction with the Premier League football team Liverpool to win official signed memorabilia. Maxxis is asking visitors to its website to identify past and present Liverpool stars whose faces have been disguised with its tyre patterns, with a signed shirt or ball up for grabs for one winner. Maxxis has a sponsorship deal with the Anfield club, which the company has called “one of our biggest successes”. The Taiwanese Maxxis brand has stepped up its sponsorship of major sporting events recently, with Major League Baseball, NBA and Australian Open tennis sponsorships joining existing Premier League football deals.
A gallery of “striking legends” is currently on www.maxxis.co.uk/winwithliverpoolfc for fans to name, before a “midfield maestro” and “hard men” crop of photos are published in May and June, again with faces obscured, to complete a competition hat-trick.
Maxxis says it hopes the free-to-enter brain teasers will become crowd favourites over the coming months and will signal the start of an extensive period of sponsorship activation.
Maxxis managing director Derek McMartin said: “Our Liverpool sponsorship has been one of our biggest successes, generating a huge amount of brand recognition for us all.
“We now want to build on our achievements with some memorable activation ideas with Liverpool’s legions of fans. They don’t come much more memorable than some of the legends behind our competitions, which are running throughout April, May and June.”
