Maxxis International to emphasise range breadth at Reifen
Maxxis International has announced that its stand at Reifen 2012 will highlight the latest technologies feeding through its R&D centres and to reinforce the breadth of its product range and variety of applications served. The 5-8 June international showcase event is an important platform for building new contacts, reinforcing existing relationships and doing business for the Taiwanese company, a fact underlined by the presence of Warren Lin, managing director of sales, the company says. In Hall 3 on Stand 123 the latest Maxxis high performance and cold weather tyres will line up alongside specialist competition products.
Together with the new WP05 winter tyre, Maxxis will be exhibiting the Pro R1, a UHP tyre that harnesses nano dispersement technology to combine silica rich compounds with finely ground carbon black particles for better distribution and bonding with Maxxis’s ‘Ultra R’ rubber. The resulting reinforced silica tread compound and advanced tread pattern, with four central grooves for improved water dispersal, come together to provide a solution that offers superior wet and dry weather performance, with improved fuel economy and a quiet ride.
Specialist tyres on display will include the ZR01, a purpose-designed tarmac rally tyre, and the new RC1, which has been developed for dry track racing. The RC1 features a specially formulated compound that delivers improved dry grip while retaining good heat cycle and durability, but also benefits from dual wide circumferential grooves, ensuring the tyre can combat sudden wet weather conditions.
With the AT980 also on the stand at Reifen, Maxxis is reinforcing its off-road capabilities. This new 4×4 tyre is designed to deliver improved traction and braking across a variety of surfaces. Its robust construction enhances puncture resistance and provides excellent bruise resistance, while its square shoulder increases loading capability and helps to achieve better grip and handling in all weathers.
