Snap-on launches CTEU 7850 cordless impact wrench
Snap-on Tools has added CTEU 7850 ½” cordless impact wrench to its range. According to the company, it is a direct replacement for Snap-on’s CTU 6850 cordless impact gun ‘family’ which has sold more than 50,000 units in the UK since its launch 10 years ago.
“In just over 10 years the market for impact wrenches has been revolutionised by the advent of cordless technology,” says Aldo Rodi, managing director of Snap-on Tools. “Previously every workshop would exclusively be using air-powered impact guns. The move to cordless electric has been dramatic as improved mechanism design and fast-moving battery technology has delivered more and more power. This change is clearly reflected in over 50,000 unit sales of our CTU 6850 family.
“The new 18v Lithium battery delivers up to 700 foot pounds of breakaway torque and 2,100 blows per minute to the half” anvil. The CTEU 7850 comes with two high performing li-ion batteries with fuel gauge and charge cycle counter. The batteries can be charged in only 45 minutes – eliminating downtime and guaranteeing performance.
