Sgfleet switches to Michelin tyre policy
Fleet management company sgfleet, which manages over 70,000 cars and vans worldwide and more than 2,000 in the UK, has switched to a Michelin tyre policy for its British fleet. Previously sgfleet fitted an alternative brand of premium tyre, however the company’s UK CEO David Fernandes made the change to Michelin after better results were obtained in tests.
“As a fleet management company looking to expand our business we need to give our customers the best quality, the best value and reduce downtime as much as possible. We believe you stand the best chance of this by fitting Michelin tyres,” commented Fernandes. “We have used Michelin rubber in a limited capacity before and we’ve always had positive feedback from our customers. In particular, we’ve always been impressed by the excellent fuel economy the tyres offer and how long they last.
“By moving to a Michelin policy we hope we’ll get even more positive feedback, and knowing our existing customers are happy is the foundation to expanding our client base,” he added.
As part of the two-year deal, more than 80 per cent of sgfleet’s UK-based vehicles will run on Michelin tyres and ATS Euromaster will be responsible for fitting them. “We hope this is the beginning of a long-term relationship with Michelin and ATS Euromaster and believe the added value from fitting Michelin tyres will help our business to grow,” Fernandes added.
