Reifen 2012 floorspace, exhibitor count already ahead of previous show

The organiser of the Reifen 2012 show reports that this year’s show is on course to break records. The tyre industry and trade exhibition, which is held every two years in Essen, Germany and this year takes place between 5 and 8 June, has already exceeded the 2010 event’s total area as far as rented-out floorspace is concerned: Exhibition floorspace booked by the start of March 2012 was already 15 per cent above that at the final closing date for bookings in 2010.

However, organiser Messe Essen says that exhibitor floorspace is not the only area of the show recording substantial growth. At present, ten per cent more exhibitors have registered than at the same time two years ago, and the organiser says the 30 largest tyre manufacturers in the world will be involved in Reifen 2012.

Messe Essen expects around 600 exhibitors from 40 nations to be present at the show when it gets underway on 5 June. The organiser says it is supporting this goal with strategic marketing measures, including targeted promotions aimed at members of the trade around the world plus campaigns in leading publications. The organiser also anticipates the presence of 18,000 visitors from more than 130 nations.
