Part-worns and labelling key themes at TyreSafe’s May briefing
Two important topics – Part-worn tyres and tyre labelling – will head the agenda at TyreSafe's next industry communications briefing on 3 May. The safety organisation invites anyone with an interest in tyre and road safety to attend this free event, which will be held at the Ardencote Manor hotel in Warwickshire. The briefing will provide attendees with an overview of some important changes facing the industry. It will also highlight TyreSafe’s forthcoming campaigns so that companies and organisations can integrate them within their own activities.
“This is a great opportunity to explore some pressing road safety issues and we would encourage as many connected to the industry to come along,” said TyreSafe chairman Stuart Jackson. “Indeed, there are many exciting and important developments expected over the next 12 months, so perhaps more than ever this is a must attend event for anyone with an interest in tyres and road safety.”
Specifically, the briefing includes a review of TyreSafe’s imminent part-worn tyre campaign and the launch of its young drivers and fleet initiatives. There will also be an overview of the labelling regulations coming into force later this year. Sussex Police will also deliver a case study with Chandlers BMW about how they worked closely together during last October to improve tyre safety at a local level.
The briefing will commence at 10.30am and is expected to finish at around midday. It will be followed by a buffet lunch and networking opportunity. Anyone wishing to attend the event can reserve their place by contacting Christine Joyce by email on cjoyce@tyresafe.org or phone 0845 301 6852.
