Lassa exhibits Phenoma, Competus H/P at Geneva
Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci Tyre Manufacturing and Trading Inc tyre brand Lassa is presenting its products on a 75m2 stand at the Geneva International Motor Show. Halit Şensoy, director of Lassa International Sales and Marketing says the show “provides an excellent opportunity for us in order to share the technology, design and philosophy behind our brand.” Visitors to Lassa’s stand can see the brand’s range of summer and winter tyres, its new range of ultra high performance and 4×4 tyres and its light truck and van products. Lassa said the main focuses of the stand are the Phenoma, Lassa’s sports tyre, and the Competus H/P, for passenger cars of all sizes.
The latest in Lassa’s ultra high performance summer tyre line up, Phenoma is TÜV SÜD tested; the organisation said it has dry braking distance of 2.9m shorter, dry handling performance improvements of up to 2 per cent, lateral wet performance 3 per cent better and wet handling performance 5 per cent better than four chosen competitors. Phenoma also had 8 per cent better rolling resistance than the other tyres tested. The tyre is available in 11 popular sizes in 16-18 inch diameters.
Competus H/P is a quiet tyre according to the company, designed with a sporty pattern with a silica compound, grooved pattern and efficient water discharge system. The tyre provides improved safety and perfect handling on wet and dry surfaces to 4×4 and SUV drivers. The tyre, tested against five competitors in March 2010 by TÜV SÜD, performed up to 11 per cent better in lateral wet grip than its competitors, while other key indicators placed it ahead of the other tyres too. It produced a rolling noise level test result of 69dB, making it a particularly quiet model. The Competus H/P is available in 55, 60 and 65 aspect ratios, 16-20 inch diameters and V and W speed ratings.
The company is also displaying its Impetus Revo tyre, available in 45-65 aspect ratios, with 14-17 inch diameters and W, H and V speed ratings, making it suitable for a range of touring cars, and mid-range to upper, luxury sedans.
Lassa markets tyres for cars, vans, 4x4s/SUVs and trucks via a network of three independent wholesale distributors in Switzerland.
