HiQ thanked for its charitable contributions
On 28 March the HiQ fast fit network celebrated the success of its charity partnership with Breast Cancer Care. Model and presenter Lisa Snowdon, who serves as an ambassador for the charity, thanked HiQ and its staff for their support; for the occasion, she was photographed with HiQ marketing manager Geraldine McGovern and Amanda Stagg, also from the company’s marketing department, holding an oversize cheque displaying the total amount HiQ has raised for Breast Cancer Care since 2009 – a respectable £87,000. The money raised is used to ensure Breast Cancer Care’s information and support services remain free to anyone who needs them.
Speaking at the charity’s head office, Snowdon said “my grandmother and aunt have both experienced breast cancer so my family know all too well how vital Breast Cancer Care’s services are. It’s terrifying to be told a member of your family has breast cancer and you have so many unanswered questions and concerns. Thankfully Breast Cancer Care is there for people like me as well as the person who has been diagnosed with this dreadful disease.
“Breast Cancer Care can’t continue their wonderful work without the help, support and dedication of companies like HiQ,” she added. “So on behalf of everyone at Breast Cancer Care I want to pass my heartfelt thanks to everyone at HiQ for all their efforts to help people affected by breast cancer. Thank you.”
Breast Cancer Care has been HiQ’s Charity of the Year since 2009 and every year it hold ‘Project Pink’, which raises funds that make a difference to the lives of people affected by breast cancer.
