Yokohama announces US price rise
Prices for Yokohama consumer tyres will rise by up to eight per cent in the US as of 1 March 2012. Yokohama Tire Corporation says the increases apply to all passenger car, performance and light truck lines, and some in-line adjustments will also be announced at a later date.
Shawn Denlein, the company’s director of sales, Consumer Products, cited several factors for the price increase, including global supply issues, economic pressures and costs associated with manufacturing and logistics. “Soaring energy and transportation expenses, along with today’s challenging business climate, have made the price adjustment necessary,” he said. “As always, though, we will continue to bring the best product to market at competitive prices.”
