UK market Marshal 857 van tyre's largest

Kumho’s core tyre for the van market is the Radial 857, with market coverage of “at least 90 per cent,” according to the Korean manufacturer. Kumho says the Radial 857’s deep zigzag grooves give increased mileage and traction, while its straight centre groove and sipe sequence on its four ribs improve ride and noise levels.

The tyre is available in 35 sizes, including T and H rated low profile fitments for the current generation of vans. Kumho announced the expansion of its partnership with Daimler AG by supplying tyres for original equipment fitment to the Sprinter range of Mercedes-Benz vans in size 235/65R16C in 2010. Another recent addition to the company’s product line-up is size 215/60R16 for the Citroen Dispatch, Fiat Scudo and Peugeot Expert ranges.

Distributed exclusively through Bond International in its biggest market, the UK, the comprehensive Marshal range of tyres developed by Kumho for more than 25 years, the Marshal Radial 857 is the company’s commercial light truck and van tyre. The tyre is also available in other European countries, such as Germany, Austria and Italy.

As with the Kumho branded 857, the Marshal tyre has deep zigzag grooves for improved longevity and handling, while a straight centre groove and sipes on all four ribs improve ride stability and comfort, including noise. The pattern is available in 35 sizes, including the low profile fitments required on the latest generation of light commercial vehicles such as the Renault Master and VW Crafter.
